Weekly Family Projects Update (Week of 10/07/24): Tackling the Last Mow of the Season and a Harvest Bounty
This week, we embraced the outdoors once again, working on both landscaping and gardening projects that brought us closer to our financial goals.
🌿 Landscaping:
With the days getting shorter, we mowed the lawn—likely for the last time this season! Despite the early evening darkness, we powered through with our mower's headlights, turning a chore into a fun family challenge. This effort saved us $100 and kept our yard looking great.
🍅 Gardening:
Harvesting fresh veggies from our garden not only added $30 to our savings but also gave us a sense of fulfillment. There's nothing quite like enjoying the fruits (and vegetables!) of your labor.
As always, our son has been learning valuable lessons in hard work, responsibility, and entrepreneurship. Every task we complete, big or small, pushes us further toward our dream of purchasing a car for our budding rental business.
Read on for more insights about how these hands-on activities are helping us teach practical skills, save money, and enjoy quality family time along the way.
